Twilio
Twilio is a Tier 3 (Channel) integration with OAuth authentication. Connect your Twilio account to sync SMS and voice engagement data into Waypath.
Setup
- Open Settings > Integrations
- Click Connect on Twilio
- You will be redirected to Twilio’s OAuth consent screen
- Grant Waypath access
- You will be redirected back to Waypath

Sync behavior
- Initial backfill: imports recent messaging and call activity
- Incremental sync: polls for new messages and calls
- Identity resolution: matches Twilio contacts to existing people via phone number
Outbound voice — use Phonely
Twilio in Waypath is a read-only voice/SMS importer — it pulls historical call and message activity into the graph but does not place outbound calls. The two coexist: Twilio backfills your historical telephony footprint, Phonely handles new agent-driven outbound calls.
